Job summary

VIQU IT is seeking an experienced Senior Hybrid Platform Engineer / Technical Lead to join a major enterprise customer in Warwickshire. Lead the evolution of a complex hybrid platform with ~75% Azure and ~25% on-prem infrastructure, driving modernization and resilience across production environments.

The role requires hands-on Azure, VMware and on-prem experience, with Terraform for automation. You will own technical design decisions from concept to implementation and collaborate with

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience supporting enterprise Azure environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Networking, Compute, Storage, Entra ID, Security and Governance.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• VMware vSphere/ESXi administration experience.
• Strong Windows Server infrastructure knowledge including AD, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments and integrating Azure with on-prem infrastructure.
• Experience supporting business-critical production platforms.
• Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience leading technical infrastructure initiatives.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and delivery of hybrid platform and infrastructure changes.
• Drive Azure platform modernisation, including migration from legacy Landing Zones.
• Manage and support enterprise Azure services across compute, networking, storage, identity and security.
• Maintain hybrid connectivity between Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
• Lead incident resolution and root cause analysis across hybrid platforms.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Security and Engineering teams to deliver platform improvements.
• Produce technical documentation, operational procedures and platform standards.
