Deaf Unity in London offers a DevOps/Platform Engineer position within the Common Platform, combining work between CS&D in London and the wider platform team. The role focuses on automated IaC, cloud-native infrastructure, and scalable deployments using AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes.

You will travel to London twice weekly to collaborate with embedded teams, review PRs, and maintain critical infrastructure like Jenkins. A strong background in CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response is required.

Qualificações

• Knowledge and proven experience of secure cloud practices and scalable cloud infrastructure (ideally AWS).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies (Terraform) and version control strategies.
• Experience with containerisation and deploying container workloads, ideally on Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.
• Experience responding to production incidents to diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues.

Responsabilidades

• Implement IaC with Terraform and utilise functions of the Common Platform.
• Work within CS&D to prioritise upgrades and support engineers with deployment and production issues.
• Review pull requests to support deployment of new infrastructure and access changes.
• Maintain and support infrastructure for CS&D including Jenkins and the Common Platform.
• Manage upgrades of Kubernetes deployments in AWS.
• Define and design infrastructure for future applications or redesigns.
• Share best practice within the Common Platform team and contribute improvements.
