Job summary

Seccl is seeking a Platform engineer to shape and evolve the cloud platform underpinning its investment products. You will treat the cloud platform as a product, partner with engineering teams, and operate within the Cloud Resilience team to empower squads to build and run their services.

The role is primarily in AWS, using Lambda, ECS, SQS, EventBridge, API Gateway, Aurora, Redshift, with MongoDB Atlas and Datadog for observability. The stack uses Typescript/NodeJS and Terraform.

Qualifications

• Experience building scalable AWS-based infrastructure.
• Proficient in Terraform and IaC practices.
• Strong background in serverless architectures and Node.js/TypeScript apps.
• Experience with observability and incident response using Datadog.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure with Terraform.
• Design cloud-native solutions using MongoDB, Lambda, API Gateway and other AWS services.
• Contribute to incident response, production readiness and reliability initiatives.
• Enhance observability and platform visibility with actionable alerts in Datadog.
• Improve CI/CD processes with GitHub Actions and reduce delivery friction.
• Collaborate with Node.js/TypeScript engineers to ensure secure and performant applications.
• Mentor engineers and promote DevOps practices across teams.
