Job summary

JN Bentley, a leading civil engineering and construction firm, is seeking a Plant Coordinator to join our Skipton head office. You’ll be central to the Central Hire Desk, ensuring the right plant and equipment is available when and where it is needed, by coordinating with site teams, suppliers and internal departments.

You will maximise internal fleet use, arrange planned servicing and inspections, and oversee hire records while building strong supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to changing requirements.
• Knowledge of plant operations and fleet maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate plant and equipment hire and off-hire to meet site needs.
• Maximise use of internal fleet and deploy equipment appropriately.
• Coordinate servicing and maintenance to maximise fleet availability.
• Arrange inspections and monitor compliance for safety.
• Coordinate breakdowns and repairs with teams and suppliers.
• Maintain hire and fleet records and build supplier relationships.
• Review costs and performance to identify improvements.
• Handle enquiries from operational teams through to resolution.
