Job summary

Medacs Healthcare in Bradford is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor/Disability Assessor to perform structured PIP assessments. This hybrid role blends home-based work with time at assessment centres, emphasizing clinical reasoning, analysis and detailed report writing.

Ideal candidates are NMC/HCPC registered (nurses or allied professionals) with at least 1 year of UK clinical experience and strong communication skills. The position offers a competitive salary and a supportive hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
• Active NMC or HCPC registration
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident use of digital systems with 35 WPM typing speed
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
• Desirable: Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Desirable: Confidence in producing high-quality written clinical reports

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence-based written reports
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks
• Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues
• Attend the assessment centre as required
