Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor. This role involves assessing how health conditions affect daily living and requires clinical reasoning and detailed report writing.

The position offers hybrid working, combining home-based work with assessment centre visits, providing stable hours, ongoing training and a clear progression path within a supportive, clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist.
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions.
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed).

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information.
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence-based written reports.
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks.
• Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues.
• Attend the assessment centre as required.
