Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in Scunthorpe. This hybrid role blends home working with assessment-centre days, focusing on clinical reasoning and high-quality written reports.

The successful candidate will conduct assessments, review medical evidence, and write detailed, evidence-based reports within established clinical frameworks. It offers structured hours and clear progression within a supportive hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• NMC- or HCPC-registered professional (Nurse, Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist)
• Minimum 1 year UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence-based written reports
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks
• Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues
• Attend the assessment centre as required
