Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is seeking a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in Sunderland. If you're an NMC-registed Nurse or HCPC-registered allied health professional, join our clinical team to conduct PIP assessments in a hybrid setup.

This role focuses on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing, with home work and assessment centre time. You'll work within quality standards and have clear progression and training.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 1 year UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
• Desirable: Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
• Desirable: Confidence in producing high-quality written clinical reports

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence-based written reports
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks
• Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues
• Attend the assessment centre as required
