Job summary

CVS Veterinary Group in Diss is seeking a Payroll Administrator to deliver a comprehensive payroll service across the organisation. You will ensure timely payroll data processing and accurate payments while providing high-quality service to employees.

The role offers a flexible hybrid arrangement with on-site work at Head Office in Diss and the option to work from home for part of the week. Training is provided to cover all payroll tasks and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume payroll environment.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups.
• Up-to-date knowledge of HMRC legislation and statutory payments.
• Providing high-quality customer and payroll service.
• Attention to detail and ability to resolve payroll issues.
• Good time management and planning skills.
• Ability to collaborate with the team and other departments.
• High degree of discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely, accurate collection of payroll data monthly.
• Inputting and importing data templates to the payroll system.
• Calculation of absence and statutory sick payments.
• Calculation of statutory maternity/adoption/paternity payments.
• Problem-solving and advising employees on queries in a professional manner.
• Calculations of overpayments and agreements for payment, overseeing recovery.
• Manual gross to net calculations and adjustments.
• Deductions from salary and processing of benefits (e.g., Cycle to Work).
• Ensuring compliance with National Minimum Wage legislation.
• Contributing to the development of departmental processes.
