Job summary

Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is seeking an Assistant Team Manager - Occupational Therapy for the Front Door team. This full-time, hybrid role leads the occupational therapy service, manages referrals, and supports staff in delivering timely, person-centred care to residents.

You will work with the Service Team Manager and Principal OT to drive service improvements, uphold professional standards and ensure effective partnerships with health colleagues and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Qualified OT with HCPC registration and OT degree.
• Post-qualification experience in adult social care with supervisory/leadership responsibilities.
• Knowledge of Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act and their practical application.
• Excellent communication, leadership and partnership-working across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and oversee complex cases.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Front Door OT duty, triage and allocation function; ensure referrals are prioritised.
• Provide professional leadership, supervision and practice oversight to OT staff, including complex/high-risk cases.
• Manage a small complex caseload and oversee high-quality assessments and safeguarding enquiries.
• Collaborate with health colleagues, partner agencies and multidisciplinary teams for resident outcomes.
• Drive service improvements, promote strengths-based practice and innovative approaches.
