Job summary

Lewisham Council is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess adults in their homes and via telephone, advising on equipment and home adaptations to boost independence and wellbeing. You will work within a supportive, multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred care.

Experience in adult social care and a good grasp of equipment provision and both minor/major adaptations are essential. The role offers hybrid working with some office and home visits, based at Laurence House, Catford.

Qualifications

• Relevant Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy is needed.
• Experience in adult social care, equipment provision and both minor and major adaptations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out telephone and home-based assessments with adults with physical/cognitive challenges.
• Recommend tailored equipment and home adaptations to enhance independence and wellbeing.
• Be part of a vibrant multidisciplinary team delivering person-centred care.
