Job summary

AFH Wealth Management is seeking an Operations Manager based at our Bromsgrove Head Office with hybrid working. This full-time, permanent role leads Facilities, Operational Controls, and Finance Operations to ensure reliable services, accurate financial administration, and timely controls.

You will guide teams, resolve issues, and drive improvements while escalating strategic risks to senior leadership. You will coordinate resources, manage suppliers, and support recruitment and training as

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or managing an operations, facilities, finance administration, or shared-services team.
• Experience coordinating multiple workstreams and delivering reliable day-to-day services.
• Experience applying procedures, maintaining evidence and following up exceptions or corrective actions.
• Confidence working with suppliers and stakeholders at different levels of an organisation.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, Outlook, Teams and Word.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day priorities, workload and service standards of Facilities, Operational Controls and Finance Operations teams.
• Set objectives, run one-to-ones and team meetings; provide coaching and feedback.
• Allocate resources, ensure cover and support recruitment, induction and training when required.
• Facilities – manage suppliers, costs, compliance and facilities projects.
• Operational Controls – record risks, address exceptions and support continuous improvement.
• Finance Operations – resolve issues with Finance and other teams; coordinate with Client Services on finance matters.
• Investigate service issues, identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Document processes and use systems/automation to improve control and efficiency.
• Coordinate changes and small improvement projects; keep stakeholders informed.
