Job summary

Wellcome Trust is seeking an Operations Risk & Controls Analyst to embed a proactive risk culture across the organisation and strengthen governance through robust controls. You will partner with first-line teams, test controls, and produce leadership-ready reports supporting corporate risk management.

The role focuses on developing the risk framework, ensuring compliance with governance requirements, and strengthening organisational resilience. Hybrid working is available in London.

Qualifications

• Minimum criteria include a professional qualification and experience in audit, risk, and controls.
• Experience in audit, risk, controls, or related field is essential.
• Hands-on controls testing experience and ability to assess effectiveness.
• Background in internal or external audit is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Embed proactive risk management culture across the organisation and document, monitor, and report controls.
• Act as a key user for the Protecht GRC system, supporting administration and data quality.
• Support first-line teams in documenting, monitoring and reporting controls.
• Deliver Risk Control Self-Assessment contributions and data-driven leadership reports.
• Conduct second-line control testing to assure control effectiveness and resilience.
