Job summary

Maximus is recruiting a WCA Nurse for a hybrid role in Barnsley. You will conduct assessments to understand how health conditions affect daily living and prepare detailed WCA reports for DWP decisions, while developing clinical knowledge through regular feedback and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration number.
• At least 1 year of broad post-registration adult or mental health experience.
• You MUST have the right to work in the UK – we cannot offer sponsorships.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to determine how a person’s disability or health condition affects daily life.
• Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports for DWP eligibility decisions.
• Develop clinical knowledge and assessment skills with regular feedback and supervision.
