Job summary

Focus Group is seeking a Solution Architect to own the technical design of complex networking and security projects across SD-WAN, SASE, firewall and routing/switching portfolios. The role blends architecture with hands-on delivery, involving on-site work across the UK and some out-of-hours change windows.

You’ll translate customer requirements into High-Level and Low-Level Designs, stay hands-on through delivery, and mentor engineers while acting as the senior design authority.

Qualifications

• CCNP certification or higher is required.
• Hands-on experience configuring Cisco and Fortinet platforms in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical design of multi-site networking and security projects.
• Stay hands-on during delivery: configure, build, migrate and commission solutions.
• Lead design workshops and travel to customer sites across the UK.
• Produce High-Level and Low-Level Designs, runbooks and hand-over packs to a standard.
• Review configurations and build documents to ensure technical quality.
