Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Grade 4 Network Planner for the Alfreton depot, near the Chesterfield & Mansfield area. You will design, cost, and quote electricity network projects while liaising with engineers and customers.

The role requires GCSE English & Maths (or equivalent) and a Level 2 City & Guilds 2339. A full UK driving licence and mobility across the area are essential. Hybrid work is available following training.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Good organisation and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Driving licence and ability to travel across the area.
• Evidence of qualifications is required during application.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver new services/alterations/small capital projects.
• Carry out onsite meetings with customers and stakeholders.
• Obtain third‑party agreements for NGED assets via wayleaves/estates teams.
• Financially review and close projects and report on progress.
