Job summary

Addition is seeking a Network Engineer to support secure, high-performance network infrastructure across defence technology projects. Hybrid on-site in Farnborough (minimum 3 days on site) with a competitive salary and extensive benefits.

You will troubleshoot complex network issues, implement new network solutions, and work with VMware ESXi and Juniper SRX in a mixed Windows/Linux environment. Eligible for SC clearance, with pension, holiday, and health plans offered.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Network Engineer in a professional IT environment.
Strong networking knowledge including routing and switching.
Experience supporting Juniper SRX environments with VPNs, VLANs, and cyber patching.
Familiarity with virtualised infrastructure, particularly VMware ESXi.
Understanding of Windows and Linux environments.
Ability to investigate complex technical issues and deliver effective solutions.
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
Eligible to obtain SC Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

Support and maintain secure network infrastructure across multiple projects.
Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve network and systems issues to minimise downtime.
Configure, implement and support new network solutions and technologies.
Collaborate with technical teams and project managers to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Maintain and improve network performance, reliability and security.
Contribute to documentation and best practices.
