Benjamin Edwards is recruiting a Management Accountant to join a progressive, values-led organisation in Scunthorpe. You will take ownership of the monthly management accounts across several entities, working closely with operational teams to understand performance and provide meaningful financial information to support better business decisions.

Qualifications

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA part qualified or qualified by experience.
• Experience producing monthly management accounts.
• Ability to prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data.
• Strong communication with finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare full monthly management accounts for multiple entities.
• Produce monthly flash results after month-end.
• Post month-end journals including accruals, prepayments, payroll, stock, WIP, bad debt provisions.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations.
• Provide insights to support management accounts commentary.
• Produce monthly project and contract reporting.
• Support annual budgeting and reforecasts.
• Assist with year-end reporting packs and external audit.
• Assist with debtor management.
• Identify process improvements and assist with new systems implementation.
