Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment Limited in Doncaster is seeking a Management Accountant to join the finance team. You will work within the management accounting function, supporting monthly accounts and balance sheet analysis.

The role involves month-end duties, training and supervising the Accounts Assistant, and collaborating with Commercial Finance and other stakeholders. Hybrid working: 3 office days and 2 days home based.

Qualifications

• Currently studying an accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA or AAT).
• Experience in management accounts and month-end processes.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic business.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly management accounts with analysis for two trading entities.
• Perform month-end journals, reconciliations and control account reviews.
• Supervise and support the Accounts Assistant.
• Collaborate with Commercial Finance and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy.
• Act as finance contact for non-finance stakeholders and participate in weekly numbers meetings.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Contribute to weekly cashflow forecasting.
• Maintain up-to-date process documentation for financial controls.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis.
• Support continuous improvement projects to drive performance.
