Job summary

Michael Page are actively supporting a Bradford employer to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. This role offers exposure to month-end management accounts and ACCA/CIMA study support.

The successful candidate will join a fast-paced finance team, focusing on accuracy and timely processing while collaborating across the department. Hybrid working with three days on site and two days at home after training is available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role.
• Desire to study ACCA/CIMA.
• Passion for continuous development and improvement.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy in financial work.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Speaking a European language is preferred but not essential.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Process invoices, payments, and expense claims.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
• Provide support during audits and assist with audit preparation.
• Contribute to improving financial processes and systems.
