Job summary

Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Management Accountant to join the Financial Management team. The role is full time with hybrid working between on-site Birmingham Children's Hospital and home, and includes a generous study package for CCAB/CIMA qualifications.

Reporting to the Deputy Commercial Finance Manager, you will provide financial management support to the Finance Department, ensuring timely information to managers for budget control and decision making.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience of working within an accounting environment.
• Experience of providing budgetary support to non finance staff.
• Eligible to commence study for CCAB or CIMA qualifications.
• Desirable familiarity with NHS management accounting finance function (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Maintain the financial ledger and provide financial management support to Clinical or Corporate Groups.
• Process accounting information in line with the monthly timetable and meet reporting requirements.
• Produce concise, accurate and timely reports for managers to support budget management.
