Job summary

You will partner with product and senior stakeholders to establish standards, processes and architectures that enable high-quality software to be delivered predictably in a SaaS/digital environment. This hybrid role offers leadership ownership across people, delivery and tech direction.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience managing software engineering teams.
• Technical background in software engineering, architecture or hands-on development.
• Experience leading delivery in a SaaS, digital product or technology-led environment.
• Confidence managing senior engineers and supporting career development.
• Good understanding of cloud platforms, modern development practices, testing and CI/CD.
• Clear communication with product, design and senior business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a multi-disciplinary software engineering team.
• Improve planning, delivery predictability, engineering quality and team effectiveness.
• Collaborate with product leaders to shape priorities and delivery plans.
• Support architectural decision-making and ensure practical engineering standards.
• Build hiring, onboarding, progression and performance-management processes.
• Use metrics to identify risks, remove blockers and drive improvement.
