CBSbutler Holdings Limited trading as CBSbutler is seeking an experienced Application DevOps Engineer to join our London team on a hybrid, permanent basis. The role focuses on Python automation, production stability and continuous improvement across a complex, high-volume environment.

You will collaborate with engineering and operations to improve reliability, scalability and operational performance of business-critical platforms, with exposure to CI/CD, monitoring and incident response.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development skills for automation and tooling.
• DevOps / Production Engineering / SRE experience.
• Experience with high-availability, business-critical apps.
• Understanding of CI/CD, deployment, monitoring and SDLC.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, resilience, failover and capacity management.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across applications and infrastructure.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ownership mindset and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python-based automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Support and enhance production applications and services.
• Drive improvements in resilience, availability, performance and capacity.
• Manage deployments, releases, production readiness and failover activities.
• Implement monitoring, alerting and observability solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex application, infrastructure and batch-processing issues.
• Identify root causes and deliver sustainable technical solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD, automation and broader DevOps practices.
