Job summary

Certain Advantage is seeking an Automation Developer in London to design, build and maintain automation ecosystems across connectivity and infrastructure services. The role is a hybrid position with onsite requirements three days per week, initially on a contract basis to year-end with potential extension.

You will develop end-to-end automation pipelines, manage tooling lifecycles, and support production systems while embedding security and best practices across CI/CD and platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience designing end-to-end automation pipelines.
• Proven automation tooling lifecycle management.
• Strong scripting in Python and Bash.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end automation pipelines using GitHub Actions, Terraform/OpenTofu, and Ansible Automation Platform.
• Manage automation tooling lifecycle: implementation, upgrades, optimisation, retirement of legacy systems.
• Provide operational support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and break/fix across automation estate.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for scalable deployments.
• Build and maintain Ansible playbooks and frameworks for orchestration and config management.
• Apply security best practices across automation platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments.
• Integrate automation platforms with enterprise systems via APIs and event-driven workflows.
• Create reusable templates and standards to improve automation consistency.
• Produce technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Provide guidance to teams adopting automation capabilities.
