Job summary

Centre People Appointments seeks a Network & Security Engineer to join its Solutions Division in London. You will provide 2nd/3rd line support for enterprise networking, security and cloud connectivity projects from design through deployment and optimisation.

The role involves designing and delivering LAN/WAN, security and cloud solutions, contributing to architecture workshops, producing HLD/LLD, and occasional international travel. Hybrid working in London with salary up to £45,000.

Qualifications

Experience in managed service environments.
Experience deploying enterprise networking solutions.
Strong routing, switching, security, TCP/IP, VLANs, EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, NAT, VPN.
Experience troubleshooting LAN/Internet connectivity.
Experience with Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Juniper or Fortinet products.
Experience producing High-Level and Low-Level Designs.
Knowledge of Cato Networks, SASE/SSE, SD-WAN, ZTNA or secure networking advantageous.
Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS networking advantageous.
Experience with enterprise Wi‑Fi advantageous.
CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and support enterprise network, security and cloud connectivity solutions.
Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support and troubleshoot complex network, security and cloud-related incidents.
Deliver LAN, wireless, cloud and security projects from scoping through to deployment.
Participate in solution architecture, technical design workshops, customer consultations and proof-of-concept testing.
Produce technical documentation including HLDs, LLDs, operational procedures and test plans.
Support the deployment and optimisation of SASE and SD-WAN solutions.
Work closely with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver customer solutions.
Identify opportunities for service improvements, automation and standardisation.
Participate in an on-call support rota and business travel within the UK, Europe and internationally as required.
