Job summary

The City of Doncaster Council is seeking a confident Locality Inclusion & Learning Lead to shape inclusive education across the locality. You will lead SEND and inclusion strategies, build capacity in schools and coordinate multi‑agency work to deliver positive outcomes for children and young people.

With a focus on reducing barriers to learning, you will implement the Experts at Hand model and contribute to the national SEND reforms, while ensuring safeguarding and statutory responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate locality SEND and inclusion support, ensuring schools can access the right expertise and services.
• Promote inclusive practice and school improvement through support, challenge, quality assurance and collaboration.
• Build strong partnerships with schools, families and multi-agency professionals to improve outcomes for children and young people.
• Oversee SEND resources and funding, ensuring effective, equitable and impactful use of support.
• Use data, training and workforce development to strengthen provision, build capacity and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, SEND legislation and statutory responsibilities.
