AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited is seeking a professional to join the Digital Engineering team in Stevenage, focusing on Linux infrastructure, automation, and scalable solutions. You will design, deploy and maintain Linux systems, collaborating across engineering groups to ensure robust, high-performing environments.

The role offers hybrid working with a 37-hour week, excellent learning resources, and a diverse, inclusive workplace. Security clearance to UK SC level may be required.

Qualifications

• Linux systems administration with focus on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Experience using orchestration tools such as Ansible to manage infrastructure.
• Scripting proficiency in Python (and at least one of Bash, Perl or PowerShell).
• Ability to independently develop and deploy scalable Linux-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain the Linux infrastructure underpinning the development environment.
• Provide strategic technical guidance to project teams and capture requirements.
• Oversee end-to-end configuration and deployment of workstations and servers for diverse teams.
• Collaborate with IT and security to ensure compliant, secure infrastructure.
• Work with Security teams to ensure compliance with internal policies.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements through R&D and innovation.
