taylorollinson Ltd is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist for the Cambridge region, covering Cambridgeshire with a home office setup and 1-2 days per week in Cambridge. The role offers £35–50K base salary plus uncapped commission (25% OTE) and dedicated training.

You will represent a broad portfolio of life science reagents and work with scientists, labs, and research groups to provide technical guidance and drive sales.

Qualifications

• A degree in life sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related discipline (essential)
• Experience in a customer-facing or commercial role is advantageous
• Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to simplify technical information
• A proactive, organised approach and the ability to manage your own schedule
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and a full UK driving licence

Responsabilités

• Developing and growing the territory through proactive outreach and consistent customer engagement
• Representing a broad portfolio of life‑science reagents and providing accurate product guidance
• Managing inbound enquiries across phone, email, and online channels
• Delivering excellent customer care from first contact through to post‑order support
• Collaborating with colleagues in marketing and business development
• Collecting market intelligence and customer feedback to support commercial strategy
• Supporting scientific events, exhibitions, and conferences
• Keeping CRM records up to date and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
