Job summary

Wokingham Borough Council is seeking a Licensing and Environmental Officer to join the Enforcement & Safety Service on a full-time, permanent basis. You will carry out inspections, advise licensed local businesses on licensing requirements and investigate regulatory matters.

This hybrid role involves site visits and some home working; a full driving licence is advantageous, and knowledge of Environmental Protection law is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with licensing processes and compliance in local government.
• Ability to gather evidence and prepare enforcement files.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and customer-focused communication.
