Wokingham Borough Council is seeking an Environmental Health Officer/Enforcement Officer (Private Housing) to join the Enforcement & Safety Service. This full-time, permanent role focuses on Private Housing Standards, improving housing conditions and renters’ rights through proactive work with residents and landlords.

You will assess conditions, inspect houses, handle licence applications and manage a varied caseload while investigating service requests and gathering evidence to resolve cases

• Protect and improve environmental standards, including private water supplies, industrial polluting processes, air quality, land contamination
• Tackle complex environmental and regulatory challenges.
• Support businesses through advice, guidance and compliance work.
• Investigate complaints and incidents.
