Job summary

Wokingham Borough Council in Berkshire is seeking an Environmental Health Officer/Enforcement Officer (Environmental Protection) to join our Enforcement & Safety Service. This full-time, permanent role focuses on Environmental Protection.

You will advise the Planning Authority on contaminated land, air quality, noise, odour and light pollution, and undertake site assessments relating to Pollution Prevention and Control and private water supplies.

Responsibilities

• Protect and improve environmental standards, including private water supplies, industrial polluting processes, air quality, land contamination
• Tackle complex environmental and regulatory challenges.
• Support businesses through advice, guidance and compliance work.
• Investigate complaints and incidents.
