Matchtech is seeking a Lead Test Architect to lead a team of test specialists in a hybrid engineering role. You will define product-level test strategies, embed testability into designs, and oversee the development of complex test equipment and solutions.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience, a strong background in verification and validation, and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust testing solutions for safety-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in test architecture for complex, high-integrity engineering systems.
• Ability to define product-level test strategies and embedded testability requirements.
• Experience in automated or semi-automated test solutions and test equipment.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Test Architects and technical specialists.
• Define product-level test strategies and ensure testability requirements are embedded within system designs.
• Specify and oversee the development of complex test equipment and test solutions.
• Collaborate with design, systems, and manufacturing teams to ensure effective verification and diagnostic coverage.
• Develop and manage lower-level test requirements across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Analyse system architectures to identify test coverage gaps and recommend improvements.
• Support the creation of diagnostic strategies, fault isolation approaches, and built-in test capabilities.
• Influence design decisions by balancing performance, cost, risk, and test coverage considerations.
• Provide technical leadership across projects and support engineering governance activities.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and customers to communicate technical solutions and project progress.
• Contribute to departmental strategy, capability development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
