Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Professional licensure or certification in engineering or architecture.
Proficiency in CAD software and structural analysis tools.
Strong understanding of railway engineering principles, materials, and construction techniques.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and codes in the railway industry.

Responsibilities

Design and plan architectural and structural designs for railway stations, platforms, bridges, tunnels, viaducts, and related structures.
Utilise CAD software and design tools to create detailed plans, drawings, and specifications.
Ensure designs meet safety regulations, structural integrity standards, and aesthetic requirements.
Perform structural analysis using engineering software to assess strength and load-bearing capacity.
Identify risks and potential improvements in designs and recommend modifications.
Choose materials considering durability, cost, and environmental impact.
Collaborate with project managers on schedules, budgets, and resources.
Coordinate with civil, electrical, urban planning, and landscape teams; liaise with government agencies.
Maintain on-site inspections and ensure construction aligns with designs.
