Hastings Direct is seeking a Junior Test Automation Engineer in the UK. The role is hybrid (Bexhill or Leicester on-site one day per week) and sits within the CIO Technology Engineering team.

You’ll help design and maintain test scenarios, work with multiple disciplines in your Scrum team, and participate in sprint ceremonies to improve quality and delivery. A willingness to learn and grow in a digital insurance environment is essential.

Qualifications

• This is a junior role suitable for recent graduates, bootcamp entrants, or those moving into tech.
• Basic coding and test automation foundations are expected, with a willingness to learn new skills.
• Experience with at least one programming language and modern CI/CD tools is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Participate in designing, implementing and maintaining test scenarios for quality outcomes
• Collaborate with the Scrum team and engineering peers across disciplines
• Contribute to sprint ceremonies and help drive improvements to team practices and KPIs
• Follow engineering practices to ensure work items meet ready/done criteria
• Engage with requirements, ask questions and clarify ambiguities to aid delivery
• Learn and grow within a collaborative CIO/Technology Engineering environment
