Job summary

New Appointments Group in Folkestone is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to support planning and delivery of engineering and product development projects within a multidisciplinary team. This role is suitable for a mechanical engineering graduate or early-career engineer eager to develop in project engineering, with hybrid working in Folkestone.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and Procurement, assist CAD design, prototyping and testing, and help manage project

Qualifications

Degree/HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
Some CAD/design experience is advantageous.
Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and ability to work with multiple departments.
Graduate engineers encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Support the planning and delivery of engineering and product development projects.
Coordinate activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement and Supply Chain.
Assist with mechanical design, product development, prototyping and testing.
Support project schedules, documentation, actions and progress reporting.
Assist with engineering changes and transition of products into production.
Help identify and manage project risks, issues and technical challenges.
