Job summary

George at Asda is seeking a Junior Product Developer to help bring lingerie, swimwear and beachwear ranges from concept to production. You’ll work with Design, Buying, Merchandising and suppliers to ensure products meet fit, quality and safety standards.

The role offers a hybrid working pattern with a minimum three days in our Home Offices and opportunities to travel to factories and supplier locations as required.

Qualifications

• About two years' experience in garment technology or product development.
• Understanding of garment construction, fit and sizing principles.
• Knowledge of stretch fabrics, product testing and quality standards.
• Strong organisational and planning skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Commercial awareness balancing quality, customer expectations and cost.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Support development from concept through to production ensuring fit, quality and value.
• Lead fit sessions and provide technical feedback to suppliers.
• Review specs, testing and compliance to ensure safety and legality.
• Build relationships with suppliers and internal teams to solve problems and manage critical paths.
• Use customer feedback and returns data to improve fit, quality and satisfaction.
• Contribute to product engineering, sustainability and speed to market.
