Job summary

Gen II in Jersey seeks a junior bookkeeper to support a Private Equity accounting team. You will assist with bookkeeping, data uploads and related tasks to deliver timely financial information for a portfolio of clients.

You will perform cash at bank reconciliations, prepare investment reports and quarterly management accounts, and help with annual accounts under GAAP. Strong attention to detail and clear communication with clients and auditors are essential.

Qualifications

• Two A-levels and 3 GCSEs minimum, including English and Maths.
• Desirable to study towards ACCA/ACA.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word for accounting tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performing periodic cash at bank reconciliation.
• Preparation of investment reports.
• Completion of bookkeeping and quarterly management accounts.
• Support in the computation of contractual accruals.
• Annual accounts preparation under GAAP for simple statements.
• Day-to-day task support including reconciliations and analysis.
• Communicating with clients, auditors and internal teams to provide information.
