Job summary

Itchyfeet Recruitment Agency is seeking a Senior Accountant for Private Equity Accounting in Saint Peter Port, Guernsey. The role sits in the Private Equity Operations team, handling investment accounting, client reporting and bespoke tasks while coordinating with internal teams and the Investment Advisor to meet KPIs and deadlines.

The ideal candidate will be part qualified ACA/ACCA with strong data literacy, excellent organisation, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in fund accounting or fund administration for Private Equity, credit, or perpetual funds.
• Part qualified ACA or ACCA.
• Strong data literacy and ability to learn new systems.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Collaborative team player mentality.

Responsibilities

• Provide premier client service by developing relationships with Investment Advisor and third parties to resolve queries and ensure timely deliverables.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of client requirements and key processes in their systems.
• Proactively manage assigned mailboxes and complete tasks as directed by management.
• Support training of team members and assist in workload management.
• Create and maintain investment and portfolio records, including processing purchases and disposals, recording income, and monitoring valuations.
• Perform bookkeeping, reconciliations, and prepare invoice coding for fund products.
• Prepare regular client reporting for senior management, finance, investor relations, and deal teams.
• Respond to ad-hoc investor queries involving quantitative data and assist in stakeholder reporting.
• Identify potential systems and process enhancements through proactive communication.
• Maintain strong client relationships and handle queries efficiently.
