Job summary

Client Server Limited in London is seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to own technology decisions, lead projects, and work directly with financial services clients.

You will build scalable Java applications with Spring Boot and microservices, modernise legacy systems to AWS, and design REST APIs while driving CI/CD and DevOps best practices.

Hybrid work with three days in the City office; salary up to £120k plus a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial services or Fintech environment.
• Strong Java development skills including multi-threading and concurrency.
• Experience with Spring Boot and microservices environments.
• Strong experience with Kafka.
• Good knowledge of REST APIs.
• Good understanding of AWS.
• Solid understanding of OOP, data structures and design patterns.
• Familiar with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborative, problem solving, client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Leading technical projects and client engagements from design through to delivery
• Developing scalable Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices
• Modernising and migrating legacy systems to AWS
• Designing REST APIs and distributed systems
• Introducing and improving CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Providing technical expertise and guidance to clients and engineering teams
