Fynity Limited, a leading FinTech consultancy, is seeking a Senior Java Engineer for Financial Services. You will design and build high-performance Java applications, develop scalable microservices, and work on event-driven platforms with Kafka and MongoDB.

Qualifications

• Strong Java fundamentals and software engineering principles.
• Java 17+ experience and Spring Boot/microservices expertise.
• Experience with Kafka or similar messaging technologies.
• Experience designing distributed, highly available systems.
• REST APIs and asynchronous architectures.
• Automated testing with TDD/BDD.
• Experience in Banking/Financial Services or FinTech.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing high-performance applications using modern Java and Spring Boot.
• Building scalable microservices and distributed, event-driven systems.
• Developing asynchronous and message-driven applications using technologies such as Kafka.
• Working with MongoDB and other modern data technologies across high-volume platforms.
• Designing clean, maintainable REST APIs and contributing to wider system design.
• Solving complex engineering problems around performance, resilience and scalability.
• Working closely with engineering, architecture and client teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Taking ownership of software from development and testing through to production.
• Contributing to code reviews, technical design discussions and engineering best practices.
• Working with TDD/BDD, automated testing and modern CI/CD practices.
