Job summary

West Sussex County Council is seeking 6 Systems Support Analysts to join the busy IT Service Desk team on a 6+ month contract. The role involves providing first-line technical support to colleagues, handling incidents and service requests, and ensuring a high standard of customer service.

You'll work in a collaborative Service Desk environment, resolving issues where possible and maintaining accurate records and knowledge base articles.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT Service Desk or IT Support environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve first-line technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for IT incidents and service requests.
• Deliver first-line technical support and first-contact resolution where possible.
• Log, manage and resolve incidents using the ITSM platform.
• Support user account administration and access management.
• Maintain accurate records and knowledge base articles.
• Escalate complex technical issues where required.
• Provide professional, friendly and customer-focused support at all times.
