Job summary

CPS Group (UK) Limited is seeking a Senior Buyer - IT Procurement for a 12-month FTC in Cardiff. The role focuses on end-to-end IT procurement management, including tenders, supplier evaluations and contract negotiations, aligning with technology and business strategy.

You will own commercial strategies, drive value, mitigate risk and support transformational technology programmes while collaborating with senior stakeholders. The role is hybrid, with 8 on-site days per month in Cardiff.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT Buyer / IT Procurement at a senior level.
• Strong track record negotiating IT contracts and managing commercial outcomes.
• Experience leading complex, high-value IT procurement projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end IT procurement and sourcing, including tenders and supplier evaluation.
• Develop commercial strategies to deliver value and reduce risk.
• Manage procurement workstreams across technology projects.
• Draft and implement IT contracts with strong commercial outcomes.
• Build relationships with technology, business, risk and senior leadership stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and service delivery.
