Job summary

Principal IT is seeking an IT Data Analyst to design, develop and optimise data solutions across a Microsoft tech stack. The role focuses on SQL Server, Power BI dashboards, and automated reporting, with development in .NET and Power Platform.

You’ll work with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions and ensure data accuracy and governance. The position offers hybrid working (3 days on-site, 2 days WFH) and a salary of £45,000–£47,000 depending on experience, with

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform and SQL Server development.
• Experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards, with data modelling and DAX knowledge.
• Knowledge of SSRS and automated reporting solutions.
• Experience with .NET or other application development technologies.
• Understanding ETL processes, data integration and database performance optimization.
• Familiarity with version control and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps and Git.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud-based technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, .NET and related technologies.
• Develop, optimise and maintain SQL Server databases, queries and stored procedures.
• Build and enhance Power BI dashboards, including data modelling and DAX development.
• Create and maintain SSRS reports, dashboards and automated reporting solutions.
• Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes, data pipelines and system integrations.
• Troubleshoot issues, improve system performance and ensure data accuracy.
• Support testing, deployment and ongoing enhancement of applications and reporting solutions.
• Follow data security, governance, version control and development standards.
