Job summary

CIPD in Wimbledon seeks an experienced Instructional Designer to create engaging digital and classroom learning products. The role focuses on learner experience, efficiency, budget and speed of development, and collaboration with colleagues and clients to shape content.

You will lead design initiatives, apply current learning theories, and drive innovation while ensuring quality and inclusivity across all projects. Hybrid working supported; 35 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in instructional or learning design.
• Experience with senior stakeholder management and client-facing learning pathways.
• Ability to manage diverse projects with contributors from sales and delivery.
• Solid understanding of learning theory applied to modern solutions.
• Portfolio demonstrating up-to-date innovative learning design.
• Experience using Evolve Authoring system tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of HR, L&D and OD roles and needs.

Responsibilities

• Support development and delivery of CIPD’s learning strategy with engaging products.
• Lead the instructional design process from analysis to solution.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external organisations to shape content.
• Develop content with efficiency, budget and speed in mind.
• Review learning solutions using data and metrics.
• Leverage emerging technologies for innovative learning solutions.
• Incorporate evidence-based thinking to content.
• Support the team across tasks including client-facing calls.
• Champion diversity and inclusion throughout the work lifecycle.
