Job summary

MBDA Missile Systems in Stevenage is seeking a hands-on Infrastructure and Software Support Engineer to join our Software Engineering Environments team. The role blends networking, Linux system support, security awareness, and artefact governance.

You will diagnose infrastructure and connectivity issues, coordinating with internal IT, Network, Security and Infrastructure teams to resolve problems, while contributing to software artefact and security processes and supporting virtualization and

Qualifications

• Hands-on infrastructure and networking troubleshooting experience.
• Experience supporting Linux systems (RHEL/Ubuntu or similar).
• Solid understanding of security principles and secure environments.
• Ability to work across IT, Network and Security teams to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Familiarity with software artefact governance and supply chain concepts.
• Experience with Artifactory and virtualization technologies.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and troubleshoot connectivity, systems and infrastructure related issues.
• Coordinate with IT teams to diagnose network related problems and drive resolution.
• Support maintenance and improvements across development environments.
• Assist with governance of software release and archive processes.
• Contribute to automation and tooling improvements where appropriate.
