Bristol
We are looking for a hands on Infrastructure and Software Support Engineer to support our growing Software Engineering Environments team. This is a varied role combining exposure to networking, Linux system support, security awareness, infrastructure and software artefact governance!
Salary: Circa £60,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: typically 4 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: Sole British Citizen only
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team. Due to the nature of this role, you must also be eligible to achieve UK Security Clearance (DV) for role.
The role would suit somebody with an interest in networking and cyber/security concepts who also enjoys practical problem solving across mixed technical environments.
Rather than being directly responsible for enterprise ownership, the successful candidate will help diagnose and investigate infrastructure and connectivity issues working closely with internal IT, Network, Security and Infrastructure teams to help coordinate and resolve problems.
The role also includes Linux administration, virtual environment support and general infrastructure support across development environments, while also contributing heavily to our software artefact and security processes.
