Job summary

Staffordshire County Council's Information Governance Unit is seeking a motivated Information Governance professional to support the team and strengthen our organisation's approach to managing information.

You will provide data protection and information security advice, support audits, training, and policy development while handling breaches and incidents. Flexible, hybrid work is available for this permanent, full-time role.

Qualifications

• Experienced information governance professional with a degree.
• Familiar with national standards in information governance.
• Knowledge of local government statutory requirements.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical data protection and information security advice and support to SCC services to deliver projects and system implementation.
• Support the information asset and assurance work across SCC.
• Investigating data breaches and data protection complaints and reporting on trends.
• Supporting information governance audit processes across SCC and with partners.
• Creating and delivering engaging information governance training and awareness material.
