Job summary

Staffordshire County Council is seeking a motivated Information Governance professional to strengthen our handling of information, ensure data protection compliance, and manage risk across the organisation.

You will contribute to policy development, deliver training, investigate data breaches, support audits with partners, and promote best practice within a flexible hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree and be an information governance professional.
• Awareness of national standards in information governance.
• Understanding local government statutory requirements.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical data protection and information security guidance to SCC services.
• Support information asset and assurance work across SCC.
• Investigate data breaches and complaints, report trends, promote best practice.
• Support information governance audits with partners.
• Create and deliver information governance training and awareness.
• Develop and review related policies to support Information Management Strategy.
• Advise customers under the service level agreement.
