Fenland District Council in March, Cambridgeshire, is seeking an Information Governance Officer to lead FOI and Data Protection requests and provide expert guidance on UK GDPR and information governance. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement and the chance to influence governance across the organisation.

You will support the development and review of information governance policies and deliver training to raise awareness and ensure compliance.

Formación

• Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, Freedom of Information legislation and wider Information Governance requirements.
• Experience of managing complex information requests and advising on compliance matters.
• Experience of interpreting legislation and applying it pragmatically within an organisational setting.
• Experience of investigating data breaches and information governance incidents.

Responsabilidades

• Lead FOI and Data Protection requests.
• Provide expert advice on UK GDPR, Data Protection legislation and information governance best practice.
• Support the development, implementation and review of information governance policies, procedures and frameworks.
• Investigate and manage information governance breaches and compliance concerns.
• Deliver guidance and training to improve organisation awareness and compliance.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory development, ensuring the organisation remains compliant.
• Work collaboratively with services.
• Identify risks, make recommendations and drive continuous improvement.
