Job summary

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Information Analyst, Band 4, to provide accurate data and insights supporting clinical and business processes. The role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to present complex information to stakeholders, and to work within the Business Intelligence Unit.

The post is hybrid and includes responsibilities for statutory reporting, data quality assurance and timely delivery of high-quality information reports to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work with complex information.
• Experience using Excel for reporting and analysis.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
• Knowledge of data quality concepts and data dictionaries.

Responsibilities

• Develop, prepare, validate and submit high-quality information reports by deadlines reflecting contracting, performance and operational issues.
• Perform high-level analysis, interpretation, synthesis and presentation of information for identified specialties to inform managers.
• Explain complex information to clinical and non-clinical staff, including sensitive data.
• Provide technical resilience within the team to support business continuity.
• Maintain documentation of procedures for internal validation and external audit.
• Contribute to development and design of internal reports to support objectives.
• Interpret ad-hoc FOI requests and respond to tight deadlines, including analysis and resolution.
• Provide information for auditing purposes and statutory reporting.
• Identify and highlight data quality concerns and take appropriate action.
